Volvo emissions claims

The Leigh Day emissions team has started a group claim against Volvo. They allege that some diesel vehicles have "cheat devices." These devices help the vehicles pass emissions tests unfairly. Over 16,000 individuals have already joined the claim.

Volvo Diesel Claim

The Volvo diesel emissions claim is being investigated on behalf of people who leased or owned Volvo diesel vehicles. The claims could be worth thousands of pounds per vehicle.

Research shows Volvo vehicles emit more toxic NOx gases when driven than under test conditions.

Higher levels of NOx lead to air pollution. This is the biggest environmental risk to public health in the UK. Researchers link it to about 64,000 deaths each year.

If you leased or bought an affected vehicle, you could receive compensation. Check if you are eligible to join the Volvo emissions claim.

We believe that the ‘defeat devices’ used in the vehicles are unlawful under UK law, and because of this, hundreds of thousands of unlawfully polluting vehicles may still be on UK roads.

Owners of the affected vehicles should be compensated. They were mis-sold these vehicles, which were advertised as being better for the environment and having lower NOx emissions. Increased NOx emissions are harmful to the environment and the health of children and adults.

Leigh Day is one of the country’s leading law firms and bringing group actions on behalf of consumers is one of our key areas of specialism. We have been involved in many important group claims brought in the UK. Our expertise in holding corporations to account is unrivalled.

We will be bringing these claims on a 'No Win-No Fee' basis. This means that we will only deduct a maximum of 30% (exclusive of VAT and expenses) of your damages if the claim is successful, but if the claim is lost you will not have to pay anything. This is a significantly lower fee than many firms and claims management companies who will charge up to 50% of your damages for the same claim.

Leigh Day is a leading law firm in the emissions case for UK Volkswagen owners. In April 2020, they won the first round of this case in the UK High Court.

We have recently issued proceedings against Mercedes-Benz following allegations of emissions cheating.

We have also been instructed by thousands of owners of Renault, Nissan, Vauxhall, Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover and other VW Group vehicles to pursue emissions claims against those manufacturers.
