Tom Hewitt is a senior associate solicitor in the employment department.
Tom is a senior associate solicitor in the employment and discrimination department.
Tom joined Leigh Day in 2014 to start his training contract and qualified as a solicitor in September 2016. As part of his training contract, Tom completed seats in the clinical negligence and employment and discrimination departments.
Legal expertise
Tom works on both multi-party and individual employment and discrimination cases. He has assisted on cases in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeals Tribunal and the Court of Appeal. He has particular experience in multi-party equal pay litigation and discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, and religion and belief.
Tom has a first class law degree, a masters in international law, and gained a distinction in his LPC.
Before starting his training contract, Tom worked in a magic circle law firm, volunteered at a number of NGO’s and worked in Leigh Day’s international and group claims department as a paralegal to represent Mau Mau veterans in litigation against the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
