Further experience
After qualifying, Renée spent her first six years advising on catastrophic injury claims having developed a specialist interest in high-value brain and spinal injuries, and amputation claims.
Prior to joining Leigh Day, Renée attended inquests on behalf of bereaved family members, worked on death row cases in Mississippi, assisted the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire in phase 1 of the public inquiry, and worked as a panel solicitor for the Police Federation representing injured officers.
Renée is the chair of the Association of Women Solicitors. She is also part of the Women’s Committee, and one of the steering members for the Social Mobility committee at Leigh Day, which both aim to proactively address any barriers those who fall within these groups may face in the legal profession.
Renée is a mentor for students from low socio-economic and ethnic minority backgrounds and sits on the mentor panel for Warwick University. She has also been a guest speaker in secondary schools, lecturing under the module of crime and punishment.

Renée completed her Batchelors in Law at the University of Warwick, which remains ranked as one of the world’s best universities.
