Melissa is a paralegal in the international and group claims department

Environment Group claims Human rights

Melissa joined the firm as a paralegal in June 2022 supporting the international and group litigation department, working with Richard Meeran.

Legal expertise

Melissa worked on the firm’s UK group claim on behalf of individuals who have invested in the Woodford Equity Income Fund and lost money through the fund’s collapse. She currently supports various cases challenging alleged human rights abuses and environmental damage by multinational corporations in international jurisdictions.

Further experience

Before joining the firm, Melissa worked in a small legal aid firm, acting on behalf of vulnerable clients who had suffered human rights abuses or discriminatory treatment from public bodies. At university, Melissa volunteered with various human rights and access to justice organisations, including Amicus ALJ and Advocate.

Education

Melissa achieved a first class law degree from the University of Reading. She speaks fluent German and is intermediate in French.
