Meera is a paralegal in the abuse team in the human rights department. 

Abuse

Meera is a paralegal in the abuse team in Leigh Day’s human rights department.

Meera joined Leigh Day in 2022. She assists Dino Nocivelli on a range of civil cases including:

  • Abuse in sport. 

  • Abuse within religious institutions.  

  • Abuse in private, state and boarding schools.   

  • Abuse in the family and directly against individuals who have taken advantage of their position of authority. 

She is currently supporting on cases of body shaming abuse in ballet and dance which are the first of their kind and have not been tested legally before. 

Experience

Meera has experience in both group and individual litigation. 

Before moving to human rights, she worked closely with Sally Moore supporting on high value brain, spinal and amputation injury claims. Prior to this, she supported Sapna Malik in the international department on the vehicle emissions group claim on behalf of BMW owners. 

Education

Meera graduated with a First Class Honours in Psychology from the University of Surrey in 2019. She went on to achieve a Commendation on the Postgraduate Diploma in Law in 2021. Meera is currently studying independently to undertake the SQE examinations.
