Mary is a serious injury lawyer specialising in complex and high-value claims.
Mary assists Bethany Sanders with catastrophic injury claims, such as brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and orthopaedic polytrauma claims. She joined Leigh Day on qualification as a solicitor in 2022, having completed her training at Stewarts.
Mary has experience assisting with claims representing clients who have sustained life-changing injuries, for example, severe brain injury, complete or incomplete spinal cord injury, upper and/or lower limb amputation, complex orthopaedic injury, and brachial plexus injury. A notable claim that she has assisted with resulted in an eight-figure settlement for the client.
Education
Mary completed the LLB (Hons) at the University of Sheffield in 2018. She then completed the LPC MSc in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law (Leeds) in 2019.
Memberships
Mary is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is the Honorary Treasurer at the Leeds and District Medico-Legal Society.
Within the firm, Mary is a member of the RISE (Race, Intersectionality, and Structural Equality) Steering and Events Committees.
