Maja Berger joined Leigh Day as a paralegal in the international department in April 2023. She works in Paul Dowling’s team, focusing on international whistleblowing and corruption cases as well as environmental and human rights litigation against multinational corporations.

Legal expertise

Maja is particularly passionate about cases where vulnerable people have been harmed by corporate actions. She is committed to holding multinational companies accountable for their impact on individuals, communities, and the environment.

Before joining Leigh Day, Maja volunteered with the University of London's Refugee Law Clinic and served as the student director of the Environmental Law and Policy Clinic, a partnership between City, University of London, and the Environmental Law Foundation. 

Education

Maja earned a postgraduate degree in Environment, Politics, and Development from SOAS University. She then completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) at City, University of London. Maja speaks German and French.
