Ellie Riley

Ellie Joined Leigh Day as a paralegal in the human rights department in April 2024, based in Liverpool. She works in Leanne Devine’s team on Inquests and Human Rights Act claims. 

She works on complex Inquest cases which frequently involve mental health related deaths. These cases are often challenging in nature and may engage Article 2 of the ECHR, right to life.

Before joining Leigh Day, Ellie worked in property litigation specialising in leasehold law. Working in the Technical and Complex team, Ellie assisted on complex Tribunal cases. 

Ellie is an Inquest Lawyers Group member and Young Legal Aid Lawyers member. 

Education

Ellie graduated from Durham University in 2023 with a first class LLB in Law.
