Eleanor joined Leigh Day as a paralegal in the international department in January 2022.

Eleanor works in Sapna Malik and Melanie Jacques’ team, assisting with international human rights and corporate accountability cases, with a particular focus on gender and sexual violence.

Eleanor is currently working on a claim against Unilever Plc on behalf of a group of over 80 Kenyan women who allege that they have been subjected to sexual assault, sexual harassment, and/or other forms of serious mistreatment by men who were employed to work on Unilever’s former tea estates in Kericho, Kenya.

Further experience:

Prior to joining Leigh Day, Eleanor interned with the Human Rights Law Network in New Delhi. She has also volunteered with Citizens Advice, working as a legal caseworker for a team that focused primarily on assisting clients who were victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.  

Education:

Eleanor studied Social Anthropology (MA Hons) at the University of Edinburgh. She then converted to law, completing the GDL and LPC at the University of Law in Liverpool.
