Anna Crowther
Senior associate
Anna is a senior associate in the human rights department.
Anna qualified in the international department in 2008 after training at the firm and has worked in a wide variety of practice areas with particular expertise in large multi-party actions.
Legal expertise
Anna has worked on a number of high profile claims, including acting on behalf of hundreds of Iraqi civilians who alleged that they were unlawfully detained and mistreated by British forces during the Iraq war. Anna also assisted partner Sapna Malik with a civil claim on behalf of Abdul-Hakim Belhaj, an opponent of the Gaddafi regime who, together with his wife, was abducted with the assistance of MI6 back to Libya.
Anna historically acted in claims on behalf of over 200 British military veterans exposed to chemical warfare agent at Porton Down military laboratories from 1940s – 1980s.
In addition to advising on claims involving breaches of human rights, Anna also has expertise in product liability claims and she acted in the metal on metal hip litigation alongside partner Gene Matthews.
Anna is currently advising vehicle owners in a multi party action against a vehicle manufacturer following allegations of emissions test cheating in diesel vehicles.
