Kate advises on employment and discrimination claims
Kate is a senior associate solicitor in the employment and discrimination department at Leigh Day. Kate trained with Leigh Day and qualified as a solicitor in 2017.
Legal expertise
Kate has negotiated significant exit packages on behalf of a number of senior individuals and has experience of bringing claims including:
- Discrimination because of race, age, sex, disability and pregnancy;
- Employment status claims;
- Harassment and victimisation;
- Equal Pay; and
- Whistleblowing.
Kate has also advised about the effect of data protection and GDPR in the employment context.
Kate is currently assisting hundreds of Uber drivers in bringing claims relating to their employment status and is also representing teachers bringing direct and indirect discrimination claims against the government following changes to their pensions in 2015.
Kate has been involved in a number of volunteer initiatives, including Toynbee Hall’s FLAC service.

Kate is a member of the Discrimination Law Association and the Employment Lawyers Association.
