Charlotte Ray is an associate solicitor in the employment department.

Employment

Charlotte is a associate solicitor in the employment and discrimination department. She joined Leigh Day as a trainee solicitor in 2017, and qualified in 2019.

Legal expertise

She has advised on a wide range of matters, including age, sex and race and part-time worker discrimination, and has particular experience dealing with large multi-party actions. 

Charlotte has worked on a number of high profile cases, including representing nearly 250 judges against the Ministry of Justice and Lord Chancellor for unlawful age, sex and race discrimination. Charlotte is currently acting for nearly 50 Circuit Judges who sit as High Court Judges or Judges in the Court of Appeal on a part-time basis, but do not receive the level of remuneration they entitled to for this work, so are pursuing claims against the Ministry of Justice and Lord Chancellor for the breach of the part-time worker regulations.

Charlotte graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2014 before deciding to pursue a career in law. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Law at City University, going on to study the LPC at BPP Law School in Holborn.
